「prototype」是基於荒川老師最早的NAME重新繪畫61頁的全新的故事。故事講述的是兄弟兩人在尋找某物的途中，經過了沙漠的都市•克洛瓦托爾。因為幹渴而倍受煎熬的市民請求兩位通過煉金術煉出點水來解渴，但是愛德華卻以”沒有很高的報酬不接受依賴“為由拒絕了他們。就在此時，統治者城鎮的阿爾沙少佐也前來委託某事…
